NEWS24.CO.ID - Amazing, after the rescue for a few days, thirteen foreign divers and five members of Thailand’s Navy SEAL success to pulled out eighth boy from the cave in Thailand.
As we know, on June 23 2018, 12 boys and their coach has been trapped in a cave in Thailand. At that time, the soccer team along with their coach visited a popular tourist site, Tham Luang cave complex in a forest park near Thailand’s northern border with Myanmar and got trapped in it due to rising floodwater. The boys, aged between 11 and 16, went missing with their 25-year-old coach after soccer practice on June 23, setting out on an adventure to explore the cave complex near the border with Myanmar.
The foreign divers worked incessantly and their efforts didn’t go in vain. The eighth boy was carried out with a stretcher, after the sixth and the seventh boy were rescued by the divers. But until now, four boys and their football coach remain trapped in a flooded cave in Thailand. The boys were discovered by British divers Richard Stanton and John Volanthen on last Monday, July 2 2018.
The sixth and the seventh boy have been admitted to an onsite medical facility. Divers have previously described conditions in the cave network as some of the most extreme place they have ever faced.
During the rescue operation, one of the divers lost his life on Friday; a former Thai navy Seal named Saman Gunan was helping in putting the oxygen cylinders in place when he ran out of oxygen himself.
