Avengers Base will be officially inaugurated by Jokowi in Papua on this friday

NEWS24.CO.ID - Almost completed, the Time Capsule Monument built in Merauke, Papua, will be officially opened by Joko Widodo on Friday, November 16th 2018.

The shape looks almost similar to the Avengers superhero movie headquarters that had viral. The building is said to be filled with a collection of dreams and hopes for Indonesian children for the next 70 years which are carried on a relay basis starting from Aceh to the eastern end of Indonesia.

"Yes, this Friday will be inaugurated" said Director General of Cipta Karya Danis H Sumadilaga, quoted from detik.com, November 14th 2018.

The physical construction of the time capsule monument is almost complete and leaves some remaining work in the form of beautification. "We have finished. Only the remainder is in the stages of cleaning, gardening and fencing. If the building is finished" said Danis.

Danis also said that in addition to the Monument, the President will also conduct a review of the construction of the new National Cross Border Post (PLBN) in Sotta, Merauke. The state budget will become the second state budget in Papua to be overhauled after PLBN Skouw in Jayapura.

"The idea of building a monument to store time capsules comes from Joko Widodo on Indonesia's 70th Independence Day in 2015 and will be reopened in the next 70 years" said PUPR Minister Basuki Hadimuljono.

The construction began in 2016 with a budget of IDR 7 billion. There are two stages of work, namely making the foundation and working on the next stage.

Seeing its location, the monument is located right in front of the Merauke Regent's Office and near Mopah Airport so that it will become a new landmark for Merauke Regency. The area of ??2.5 ha consists of 1 ha is the monument area and 1.5 ha is used as the square.
